This reflection comes from words in a song I heard on TV and the words “my chains are broken and my heart is free” really jumped out at me. For as long as I can remember I’ve longed for peace in my heavy and painful heart. My search is now over, those chains have finally been broken and my heart is now free. Instead of heavy, my heart is now light.
This peaceful heart came when I found my guardian angel, who I now know is God. He is my security, my best friend and the father I never had. I ’m so thankful that I now feel at peace, safe, protected and loved. What else could you ask for in life!!
I’m glad that I had come to know more about God before my recent difficult stay in hospital, as I felt God was with me throughout. I couldn’t believe how calm I was, or some of the things that happened. They weren’t in the order that one would have wanted or expected, but as they say “God works in mysterious ways” and he surely did!!
