At Springwater we believe the word church refers to the biblical understanding that means a group of people, not a building or a denominational structure.
Therefore Springwater church is active and gathers wherever two or more people are present, as Jesus says in Matt 18:20 – For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.’
With this in mind, our church meets at various places during the week. Some occur within the land and buildings that we own, whilst others occur elsewhere in homes, workplaces, families, coffee shops and apartment buildings.
Many of our community gatherings revolve around the passions and hopes of the congregation and are mostly open to everyone. Please check the CONNECT page on our website and/or contact the church office for more details.
Our weekend community gathering on a Sunday morning is an opportunity for the whole church to come together and engage with God, with each other and learn more about the integrated ways of Jesus within interrelated accountable relationships. It is a place to encourage others as well as illustrate, to those seeking God, that the kingdom of God is alive and there is a community of people who desire to live out the way of Jesus. The weekend services mix contemporary and traditional styles and vary week to week. The services are informal and relaxed.
The focus changes each week but the rhythm includes teaching, prayer and worship, communion, youth/family focus, testimonies/stories, meals together and discussion. Each service will be primarily focused on one of these rhythms with the odd creative change every now and then depending on how we sense the Holy Spirit is directing us. There is also always an opportunity to receive prayer for personal needs if requested and a relaxed time to share and build community with people. Our service lasts for approximately 60 mins.
Springwater is made up of different people who are on a journey of following the way of Jesus, and we each come from different backgrounds and ways of thinking.
In it all we commit to support and encourage each other as a body of people. We also understand that we all only see in part and that as we get closer to Jesus, we will see life more clearly.
As a church community, we seek to do what Jesus asked of us: love God and love each other.

Jesus replied: ‘“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself.”
